Starting With Marketing Academy Special Guest Adam Spiel and his Web 2.0 Traffic Blueprint

I am at the midpoint of Dean Holland’s class “Starting with Marketing “(The Newbie Internet Marketing Academy)  and this week Dean took a break and brought in special guest Adam Spiel of ProHostManagement to tell us how to double your website traffic in 90 days.  You better believe I was interested in hearing Adam’s advice since driving traffic to my blog is priority number two (First priority?  Provide quality content for my readers)

Adam defined Web 2.0 as using social media (like twitter,Facebook) to introduce yourself; using your blog to educate readers, and then other websites to actually sell products and services.  Great advice that a lot of those twitter spammers could follow—you know those people who auto-post some sales hyperlink every three hours!

Would you like to be considered an “expert” in your field?  Well Adam recommends to be an expert you must ask/discover what your readers/followers want to learn about—they all want some sort of information about something then you provide helpful answers to what they are looking for (much of it at NO COST) then tell them about you and your services.  This dovetails nicely with Dean’s advice about “marketing not selling”.

The plan to grow your website traffic involves writing good headlines and content rich articles about your subject matter (videos, lists, pictures, too) and then using sites like Squidoo, HUB and , my personal favorite, Ezinearticles.  These content rich articles and videos when done properly, position you as an expert on your subject matter and help generate natural search traffic that eventually links back to your blog.  An outstanding plan that I am using right now on my own blog.

  • Hey Ralph,

I would love to know where you got your Ezine widget from that is seriously cool. I hate those spammers who automate their spam in Direct Messages through Twitter.

Yes I would love to be an expert! Adam made us realize that possibility undoubtedly.

It is amazing as this course progresses the things we learn and implement are not difficult or techie. Success truly relates to having the right direction and taking action on that direction!

looking forward to the next module already!,

Great to have you stop by–If you have not done so already, to get the author widget from Ezinearticles, all you need to do is go there, create an Author account and get your first article approved. Then when you sign into your profile page, it is under the Author Tools tab where you can select Create Widget. Pretty simple stuff as you mentioned, once you have the right information and guidance, as we have been getting so much of from Dean’s Starting with Marketing class.
    Best,

    Lisa:
that is really good to hear–I have been implementing his technique haphazardly with the article submission and really like his 30/30/30 goal. Share with us more when you can, if you uncover any more powerful tips like the ones Adam gave in the Starting with Markeitn bonus video.
    Best,
    Ralph
